Sindhu | Marlow (UK)
Sindhu is an alternative name for the Indus river, and this restaurant is based in the Compleat Angler hotel overlooking the river Thames in Marlow (UK). Sindhu Restaurant is a venture by acclaimed restaurateur Atul Kochhar. With river views through the restored stained glass windows, this is an elegant setting to enjoy contemporary Indian delicacies.
Sindhu is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Besides an à la carte menu, they also offer a 5-course tasting menu (at £49), a 7-course tasting menu (at £69), a set lunch menu (2-course at £19 and 3-courses at £22) and a weekend lunch menu (2-course at £21.50 and 3-courses at £25).
We went in November 2018 for lunch and had the weekend lunch menu. Although I didn’t make any notes that day, I don’t want you to miss out on the pictures of the dishes.
Platter of basil chicken tikka, lamb seekh kebab & grilled tiger prawn. This dish comes at a supplement of £5.
This was one of the nibbles on the menu at a supplement of £5 to the weekend lunch menu
Also one of the nibbles on the menu at a supplement of £5 to the weekend lunch menu
Bread Basket on the menu let’s you choose 2 kinds of bread at a supplement of £5 to the weekend lunch menu. The rice and chickpeas just come with the mains.
I’m sorry I can’t do a review of this one, but without notes I simple can’t remember all details of the dishes, flavours, etc. and I certainly don’t want to make something up.
Sindhu is on my list to visit again and I will be sure to do a proper review next time.
